Jacksonville, Florida, 14rd September, 2010 - The University Medical Center Tucson, ranked as one of the nation's premier hospitals in US News & World's annual guide and a pioneer center for radiology without film since 1977, has selected OrthoView to enable its orthopaedic surgeons to plan and template digitally.
The innovative features of the OrthoView solution, such as SmartHip automatic templating, featured strongly in the decision by UMC. In particular, the challenges of coordinating communication between multiple PACS on-site was overcome with the OrthoView's ImageShare feature.
OrthoView provides surgeons worldwide with a comprehensive solution to planning and templating without x-ray film. It is used in over 650 sites across the USA and offers a variety of deployment options to enable maximum flexibility of workflow for the surgeons as well as efficiency and cost savings for the hospital.
