Can OrthoView be deployed so that it can be used at home? OrthoView Enterprise is supplied by leading PACS vendors as an integrated option with their systems. Please consult your PACS vendors for details of home access. OrthoView Workstation is available directly from OrthoView. If you have access at home to your hospital PACS network (via VPN for example) then OrthoView Workstation will allow you to query and retrieve images; complete a plan; and finally send templated images and a report back to the PACS. If you do not have remote access, an alternative is to connect your laptop to the PACS network while at the hospital to download images which are stored on the laptop. Planning can then be done at home. Templated images and reports are stored for transfer to the PACS the next time you are in the hospital. OrthoView Server is available from OrthoView in selected territories. The server is installed in the hospital and connects to the PACS via DICOM. Client PCs wishing to use OrthoView connect to the server to both load the application and retrieve images. As the client-server connection is via web technology a client PC may be situated anywhere that has network access to the server.
